In the early 90's computer education was considered to be difficult and unapproachable and it was assumed that only highly skilled persons can learn and operate computers. But with the invention of Windows Operating System due to GUI(Graphical User Interface) it became much easier and in 1996 CBSE decided to introduce it as a subject, which is a landmark in field of education.
At school level most of the schools are teaching basic courses like MS Office upto 10 th std. But we at St. Xavier's teaching professional courses like Visual Basic and C++ along with the basic courses to make our students well equipped and well informed and they can even opt computer as their career.
The school library is a storehouse of knowledge. This well managed zone caters to the needs of students of all section - primary, middle & secondary To empower them and make them dynamic,Versatile & proficient, look of diverse fields like general-knowledge, biographies, ancient history,spiritualism, folk tails etc. are made accessible.
