Leave of Absence

  • Pupils should not absent themselves without prior leave.
  • A pupil absent from school must on returning bring to the principal a written note from either the parents or guardian on the absence record stating the reason for absence.The teacher in charge of the class may not admit that child unless the same not been countersigned by the principal.
  • In case a pupil is absent for three or more days continuously beyond 7 days, the principal must be informed stating there in the reason of absence . If the absence is due of illness, a Doctor's certificate must also be produced by the pupil, on returning to school. The School accepts no responsibility if, through failure in producing such a certificate, the pupil is sent home during school hour's. The name of those pupils absent without notice , or who, for unexplained reason, remain absent from school for more then 15 days will be struck off from the school register and may not be easily re-admitted.
  • Late comers at the start of the session are liable to be fined Repeated absence for feasts, weddings etc. renders a pupil liable to dismissal. Absence without leave for feasts, wedding etc. render a pupil liable to a fine. Leave must be obtained by a written application from parents or guardian in the prescribed "Leave record" in diary and that too only for weighty reason.
  • For marriage with in the family only one day's leave is granted. and as a rule, prior sanction is needed.
  • Leave of absence for social function outside Bathinda City will not be Granted.
  • If for some domestic reason a pupil requires a half day of even some hours leave parents or guardian are advised not to send their children to school for the day.
  • No pupil who was previously absent from school or is late for the morning or the afternoon session will be admitted to the class without the principal's Permission.
  • Absence from school during test/examination will never be condoned except in case of illness-provided intimated the same day-and will adversely affect's the students grade in the test/examination.Neither re-test nor re-examination will be conducted no average will be given.
  • Repeated absence without leave or unexplained for more than a week renders the students liable to have his/her name struck of the rolls.Re-admission will be given.
  • A student returning to school after suffering from an infectious or contagious illness should produce a doctor's certificate permitting him to join class it condition laid down bellow.
    • Students suffering from the following must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class.
    • Chicken pox : 6 days after the disappearance of the first crop of vesicles(normally altogether)
    • Measles : 7 days from rashes(normally)
    • Mumps : Until swelling of salivary gland has subsided which may take 9 days from the appearance of symptoms.
